Simple and elegant wedding cake

Summer is not the time to make a cake. Temperature has reach 30 degree Celsiusa and I can see that the fondant is not setting and the filling is not getting harder. Air condition is full blasts and still the temperature in the room is still too warm.

I was in the stage of panic and want to get the cake done and praying that the 2 tiers cake would not melt and cracked. 

This cake is a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing filling. I had a challenging  time making the figurine, to make sure that the construction of the groom carrying the bride will not fall. First attempt the groom back and arms cracked and I have to re- do him 3 time. I'm glad that on the day of the wedding the figurine groom was holding on tight, and the cake is standing well with no dramas of falling or cracking.
