Rustic Wedding cake

Praying for a cooler weather for this wedding. It has been raining the whole week, then suddenly is super hot and humid. Is not an easy thing when the bride requested a Itailan meringue buttercream on her wedding cake. Thank God the day of the wedding it wasn't raining and it wasn't to humid.

This cake is a red velvet cake iced with IMB, with a simple rustic look top with fresh pink and white roses and lisianthus.

I was running so late to deliver this cake and I forgot to bring my camera. Not happy that the only thing I have to take a photo is my mobile phone. The colour of the cream is white, but because of the lighting in the room, the photo makes the IMB looks yellow.

The purple light really make this cake look very simple and elegant .

Mike Wazowski

So excited when making this cake. I can't stop saying .."Mike Wazowski...Mike Wazowski..."
This cake is made for a little boy who is a Big Fan for Monster inc.
The cake is made for a chocolate mud cake and the size of the cake is an 8" cake, covered  in chocolate ganache.
I was so blessed to have my daughter at home that day, she help me to make Mike's eye.
Mike's eye is coloured using edible pen. I think she did a fantastic job.

Neco Coneco cake, Italian meringue butter cream

So blessed to be asked by a close friend to make her youngest daughter 13th Birthday cake. I have known C and K for more then 25 years. Beginning of this year they have asked me to make their eldest daughter's 18th birthday cake and this time they asked me again to make their youngest daughter's 13th birthday cake.

I always love it when asked to make a special cake, especially when it comes to certain mile stone one a child's life. I love to see the child;s face light up when they sees their special birthday cake.

This cake is a small 8 inc cake vanilla sponge with swirl rosette italian meringue butter cream.. The decoration is just simple with bunting flags...and Neco Coneco sitting on a log.

If you are wondering what is a Neco Coneco, well is a Japanese cartoon cat character. I have no idea what it was until I was told. 

Really hope Birthday girl likes her cake.

Frangipani Wedding cake

So blessed to be able to make this wedding cake. The bride really wanted a fresh frangipani for her cake, but unfortunately these flowers are not available until summer.
As many people know, I really love making sugar flowers, so I kinder happy that this can be made from sugar :)
Cake is very elegant and simple with royal purple and pink frangipani. This cake is a white chocolate mud cake with white chocolate ganache.

Cupcake ...cupcakes

These amazing cupcake is made for the bridal party. The bride and groom wanted to give these cupcakesas a gift to their amazing friends.
I really like how they thought of a theme for their friends individually.
Each cupcake represent individual person's interest or likes.
All of the cupcakes is boxed with ribbon and a special thank you message.
I forgot to take a photo of the boxed cupcakes :( oh well, next time.

Graduation Cake

A simple Year12 graduation cake.
This cake is a red velvet cake covered in silver shimmer with stars.
Congratulation to all amazing student, all the best for the future.

Adventure Time and Professor Layton.

Love it when is time to make a cake for my kids.
This cake is designed by my little girl. She loves watching Adventure time and playing Professor Layton on her DS.
I told her that this year she can design her own cake and I will do my best to make it.
I think if this cake is a larger cake I  can incorporate all the details she wanted on her cake. 

Unfortunately this cake is not a very large cake, 3 tiers cake made from red velvet with Italian meringue butter cream.
