Romatic three tiers wedding cake

Romantic 3 tiers cake with handmade sugar roses.
Had so much fun making these roses. This cake is a vanilla Victorian sponge covered with white chocolate ganache.

It was so difficult to deliver this cake in a very wet afternoon. I was abit disappointing when I delivered this cake as there is a few specks of rain drops on the cake. I really hope the bride and groom like the cake and no one notice those tiny specks of rain drops on the cake.

Rustic Wedding cake

Praying for a cooler weather for this wedding. It has been raining the whole week, then suddenly is super hot and humid. Is not an easy thing when the bride requested a Itailan meringue buttercream on her wedding cake. Thank God the day of the wedding it wasn't raining and it wasn't to humid.

This cake is a red velvet cake iced with IMB, with a simple rustic look top with fresh pink and white roses and lisianthus.

I was running so late to deliver this cake and I forgot to bring my camera. Not happy that the only thing I have to take a photo is my mobile phone. The colour of the cream is white, but because of the lighting in the room, the photo makes the IMB looks yellow.
The purple light really make this cake look very simple and elegant .

Simple and elegant Lisianthus wedding cake

Simple wedding cake with a lisianthus sugar flowers arrangement. The bride wanted a fresh flowers on top of her wedding cake and she requested that she wanted a champagne colour lisianthus flowers on her cake.
I met up with the lovely couple 7 months before their wedding day and knew that by November I can get some lisanthus. To my surprise I visited more then 10 florists and everyone told me that they haven't  seen any and it was hard to get them at the moment. They suggested that I should go to the flower market and may be I can get some import lisianthus.

Oh well ..I thought...what can I do ?? As most of my friends know I love making sugar flowers, so ..this is it I will try to make an arrangement of lisianthus flowers to put on top of the cake.
So here it is...

Damask Wedding Cake - 20 May 2012

Love the colour of ivory on this cake. This cake is made from fruit cake on the bottom tier and chocolate mud cake on top tier. Bride wanted a damask prints on the cake to match their wedding invitation. The cake really suited the venue of the reception at the Queen Victoria Tea Room.
The wall paper of the room really set the mood that compliment the elegant of the cake.
