Welcome to Sydney

Love this cake as it really show case the Sydney harbor bridge.
This cake is a chocolate mudcake  covered in chocolate ganach.
If you know Sydney or been to Sydney you notice you can see the beautiful Sydney Harbor Bridge from the beautiful botanic garden and also around Mrs Macquarie  chair.
I wasn't sure how I would incorporate the figurine in the cake as the cake is only an 8 inc cake. You really need an imagination when you look at the cake. I really want to make the majestic bridge as the center of the cake, so I have put the figurine standing close by the wall that surrounding the harbor. I really hope that they like the cake.

Damask Wedding Cake - 20 May 2012

Love the colour of ivory on this cake. This cake is made from fruit cake on the bottom tier and chocolate mud cake on top tier. Bride wanted a damask prints on the cake to match their wedding invitation. The cake really suited the venue of the reception at the Queen Victoria Tea Room.
The wall paper of the room really set the mood that compliment the elegant of the cake.

Wedding cake - 30th March 2012

What a blessing to be a part of this wedding, with a beautiful autumn weather at a beautiful Royal National park. It was one of the fun and moving ceremony...and yes..i actually cried :)
to see the faces of the couple and how much they are so in love.

And it was worth the 1hour and 20 mins drive, with me holding the cake close to me. Thanks to hubby who drove so smoothly all the way :) I think he has learned to drive very carefully, especially turning those sharp bends on the road.

So blessed to be asked to make this cake. The cake is a 2 tiers cake with the choc mud cake on the bottom and fruit cake on top. The reason of this combination is because the groom love chocolate cake and the bride love fruit cake. Had so much fun making this cake. The colour of the cake is inspired by their wedding invitation. All the flowers are all hand made and the special stenciling on the cake.

40th Birthday cake

Hat a blessing to make this cake for my friend who turn's 40. Had a great night with 35 ladies, celebrating this birthday.
This cake is a chocolate mud cake. The theme of the party is a "A little Sparkle".
The cake was inspired by one of y favorite cake artist Lindy Smith. The top of the cake is all hand made jewelery.

My Neighbour Totoro cake

This is suppose to be a simple cupcakes, But...I was too over excited about this cake i decided to change it to a full theme cake. This cake is a Red Velvet cake covered in vanilla butter cream. The filling of the cake is a combination of blueberry and vanilla butter cream.

This is a special cake. Our friend only gets to celebrate his birthday every 4 years, this is because his birthday falls on the 29 of Feb. This is his 8th birthday so far, even though he is turning 32 years old.

It was a great challenge for me to make the little girl figurine. I know most people don't appreciated details and last night they didn't really see any of this, but to me it was very important. Just love making the little hands and feet and the details of the legs and arms.
